Citizens’ Services can be found at four different locations in Aarhus: At the City Hall or at the libraries in Risskov, Viby and Åby. Citizens’ Services staff at the public libraries are familiar with the local area and ensure that you have access to services close to where you live and work.
Library-based Citizens’ Services
At the public libraries in Harlev, Lystrup and Tilst, you can use some of the services provided by Citizens’ Services during library opening hours. For example, you can submit forms, order passports and obtain help in using the self-service functions.
International Citizen Service
The International Citizen Service is a service for all international employees and their families arriving in the Aarhus area.

International Citizen Service is your central point of access to relevant authorities upon arrival and offers face-to-face assistance with applications for:
- Certificate of Registration for EU Citizens
- Social Security Number and Health Insurance Card
- Tax card and introduction to the tax system
At the International Citizen Service, International Community will also provide you with other relevant practical information on living in the Aarhus area and introduce you to the network and social activities.
International Citizen Service is located at International Community's office at Pakhus 13 in the City Centre.
Please note that Citizens’ Services Aarhus only has office hours Thursday from 15-17:00 and Friday from 11-13. Enquiries regarding CPR number, health insurance card and other issues handled by the Citizens’ Services Aarhus can only be processed during these hours.
Bus no. 3, 7, 14, 199, 121, 123 will take you to Skolebakken bus stop close to Pakhus 13. From the central rais station it is a 10 minute walk.
