Nature

The Municipality of Syddjurs.

Numerous opportunities exist in East Jutland for exploring the countryside and the natural world close at hand. You can visit the Mols Bjerge national park with its rich wildlife and one of the most varied landscapes in Denmark.

Along the shore

There are also countless possibilities for being by the water. With several hundred kilometres of coastline and many beaches, you can always go for a swim or simply enjoy a walk along the shore. East Jutland is also dotted with lakes which are ideal for swimming and fishing.

Discover the great outdoors

You can also discover the great outdoors in the many woods and forests. The woods include both deciduous woods and beechwoods, and the woodland floor is home to a rich flora and fauna, making for fascinating and memorable excursions.

The Municipality of Syddjurs lies in unique and beautiful countryside. We have beaches and coastline, woods, lakes, rivers, moors, commons, arable landscapes, hills and valleys. There is therefore every reason to go out and experience the countryside and teach children and young people about all the wonderful things which nature has to offer.

Due to its exceptional scenery and geology as well as its multifarious fauna and flora, Mols Bjerge has been designated a national park. The national park boasts a rich cultural heritage including ancient monuments, mills and castle complexes, manor houses and picturesque villages as well as the old market town of Ebeltoft.

There are tremendous opportunities for nature expeditions and outdoor activities in this varied cultural landscape and along the coast.
