Most of the educational opportunities offered in Aarhus are centred around a relatively small geographic area. Practically all educational institutions are within walking or cycling distance of the city centre. This makes Aarhus a very compact and accessible student city.

Offering some of Denmark’s most popular study programmes, VIA University College is Denmark’s third-largest educational institution. Almost one in four schoolteachers are trained in Aarhus.
