Nature in Favrskov
Numerous opportunities exist in East Jutland for exploring the countryside and the natural world close at hand.
You can visit the Mols Bjerge national park with its rich wildlife and one of the most varied landscapes in Denmark.
There are also countless possibilities for being by the water. With several hundred kilometres of coastline and many beaches, you can always go for a swim or simply enjoy a walk along the shore. East Jutland is also dotted with lakes which are ideal for swimming and fishing.
You can also come close to nature in the many woods and forests. The woods include both deciduous woods and beechwoods, and the woodland floor is home to a rich flora and fauna, making for fascinating and memorable excursions.
There are lots of exciting outdoor activities in the Municipality of Favrskov. You can take one of the beautiful Daisy Routes and see spectacular castles and manors. The Gudenåen river offers excellent opportunities for fishing and canoeing.
You can also enjoy a walk in one of Favrskov’s many beautiful woods where there are signposted paths of varying distances; some of the woods also have tracks for horse riding.
